Fonseca Porto Terra Prima Reserve Organic Port NV / 75cl

Fonseca's Terra Prima port wine is a full bodied reserve blend made from grapes produced from organic farming in the Cima Corga area of the Douro Valley.  The spirit used to fortify this port wine was also produced from organically grown grapes.

Fonseca has over a decade of experience in organic vinticulture in the Douro Valley and was one of the first port wine houses to develop and apply organic methods in its vineyards.  Aged to maturity in oak vats, Fonseca's Terra Prima expresses the natural fruity richness of the traditional Douro Valley grape varieties.

Tasting Notes:

A delightfully rich, concentrated port wine wiith great flavour and texture.  The opulent black fruit nose is followed through on the palate: layers of intense berry, plum and cherry fruit flavours are supported by firm, but well integrated tannins.  Deliciously textured; velvety, smooth.  Succulent, rounded, plump.  A lovely prolonged finish.

How to Serve:

Best served on its own or at the end of a meal with cheese.  Bottled for immediate drinking and no need to decant.
