Sherry (vino de Jerez) is a fortified wine made from white grapes that that have been cultivated near the area of Jerez in Spain.
The main styles of Spanish Sherry wine are:
- Fino, a dry sherry wine
- Manzanilla, a light sherry style
- Manzanilla Pasada, a rich nutty flavoured sherry
- Amontillado, a dark rich and dry sherry
- Oloroso, more darker and richer in taste than Amontillado
- Palo Cortado, naturally aged for long and is likened to Oloroso
- Sweet Sherries (Jerez Dulce in Spanish)
- Cream Sherry, a blend of wines
