Both Moscatel de Alejandria and Mosctel de Grano Menudo, better known as Muscat de Frontignan, are used to produce this rich flavoured dessert wine.
The grapes are allowed to ripen and shrivel almost to raisins before pressing. Grape brandy is added to the must to arrest the fermentation.
The final results is a very luscious, sweet wine that is a perfect accompaniment to all types of dessert.
